2024 Fall Retreat

We are excited about our 2024 Fall Retreat! We are going to Camptoknowhim in Pisgah, AL. This is a beautiful retreat center that is away from everything and has very nice facilities. Here is the website to see more details about where we are staying: https://www.camptoknowhim.com/big-sky-retreat.

The cost of the retreat is $79 per student for families with only one child attending both nights and $59 per student if they are only staying Saturday night, if your family has multiple children attending, and for guests. There is financial assistance available for anyone, too. Just let Russell know!

You can register online at the link above. We will be taking a bus on Friday night at 5:00 PM (please arrive by 4:45 PM) and Saturday morning at 8:00 AM (please arrive by 7:45 AM). We will return by 12:00 PM on Sunday.

The theme of our weekend is “Walking with God.” Our aim will be to help students understand how God wants a deep personal relationship with them and how to practically walk with Him in their everyday lives. Our guest speaker will be Joel McCarty. Joel is the pastor of New Eden Church, a church plant in downtown Decatur. He has spoken at dozens of youth retreats over the years and is great at connecting with young people.

Our student band will lead our worship. This will be the first retreat where they get the opportunity to do this and I know they are excited about it. They have been working so hard and I am pumped to see them use their gifts to help us glorify God!

This will be a phone-free retreat. Students will be asked to leave their phones in their bags in the rooms for the weekend. If needed, you can alway contact Russell at 256-651-3589.

Throughout the weekend, we will do many activities both indoors and outdoors. We will also provided all the food and drinks needed. Here is the packing list:
